As part of the 90 Day Innovation in Social Housing Project with the Office for the Ageing (OFTA) and Renewal SA, older Housing SA tenants were asked how housing and precinct design could respond to their needs as they age, enabling designed-for-purpose living that could cater for diverse support, care and lifestyle needs.

Older Housing SA tenants in metropolitan Adelaide helped inform the project of what ‘home’ meant to them and how purpose-built housing and precincts could best meet their needs into the future.

Industry and community experts were also engaged as part of the project to provide their expertise and thoughts about potential innovative housing models and precinct design to inform Renewal SA’s design brief for future builds.

The outcomes of the project were intended to inform future housing developments undertaken or commissioned by the South Australian government and be made available to inform the wider housing sector.

The Case Study is now available.
