The South Australian public sector is committed to increasing pathways to employment for our youth.
By creating opportunities for young people and supporting them in the early stages of their careers, we are working towards creating a sustainable public sector for the future, while creating a flexible and diverse workforce.
Transitioning into the workforce is no easy task, so our public sector agencies strive to provide supportive work environments where young people can learn, develop their skills, and share their ideas and knowledge.
Opportunities are advertised on the public sector jobs portal, I WORK FOR SA, where young job seekers can sign up for job alerts in fields or agencies they are interested in working in, and read testimonials about the many opportunities and diverse pathways the public sector offers.
The Skilling SA Public Sector Project is a key driver for increasing our youth employment, offering opportunities for trainees and graduates, including those who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, or have a declared disability.
