Lead with integrity. Shape culture. Drive strategic outcomes.

The Executive Induction Program is a leadership program for newly appointed executives in the South Australian public sector. Effective leaders set the standard of professional practice—fostering integrity, honesty, and respect that permeate the organisations they govern. The program is mandatory for all new and existing executives and is delivered through face-to-face workshop sessions over two days.

This program equips executives with the strategic insight, essential knowledge, and networks needed to lead with purpose and deliver on the government’s economic and strategic priorities.

Participants benefit from:

  • Opportunities to build cross-sector networks and executive peer connections

The Executive Induction Program supports newly appointed executives in the South Australian public sector as they transition into strategic leadership roles. The South Australian Leadership Academy recognises that executive leadership is complex and varied across agencies, and this program is designed to reflect and support that diversity.

While participation is mandatory for all new SAES executives within the first 12 months of their contract (as per the Direction of the Premier – Induction), the program also welcomes non-SAES executives who hold senior leadership roles with strategic responsibilities or may act in SAES positions. Attendance for non-SAES participants is at the discretion of the agency.

This program provides a consistent onboarding experience, fosters alignment with whole-of-government leadership expectations, and helps build a values-driven, high-performing public sector.
