The Leading Change Program is designed for public sector professionals in South Australia who are responsible for leading or supporting change within their teams or agencies.

The South Australian Leadership Academy recognises that change leadership in the public sector takes many forms. Leadership in change may not always align with formal classification or titles, and this program supports that diversity by welcoming participants from a range of roles and levels.

While the program is intended for those actively engaged in change processes, participants at the ASO4 level and above may apply based on the relevance of their role and responsibilities. This includes individuals currently involved in change initiatives or preparing to step into change leadership roles, where participation is endorsed by their manager.

If you're unsure about your eligibility, we encourage you to discuss your participation with your manager or agency leadership team. Please note that the South Australian Leadership Academy (SALA) does not assess individual eligibility, except in relation to overall program capacity. You may proceed to register once your participation has been approved by your manager and authorised agency delegate.

Who should attend

This program is ideal for:

  • Leaders and professionals currently involved in change initiatives
  • Project leads, team leaders, and managers navigating organisational transformation
  • Individuals seeking to strengthen their change leadership mindset and toolkit
  • Those preparing to step into change leadership roles, depending on their readiness and context

This is a practical, strategy-focused development program tailored for individuals actively engaged in change processes. It is not intended for those without current or upcoming responsibilities related to change leadership.
