The Governor’s Leadership Foundation (GLF) Program is designed for established leaders who are committed to accelerating their leadership capabilities and making a meaningful impact.
Over this ten-month journey, participants will:
- Develop the consciousness and perspective needed to navigate complex leadership challenges.
- Build the maturity, judgment, and interpersonal awareness required of exceptional leaders.
The Office of the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment is proud to support this initiative by offering two full scholarships each year, providing South Australian public sector leaders with an unparalleled opportunity to grow and lead with influence.
The program consists of:
- Dynamic and interactive format
Topical seminars, field trips and retreats. Lively discussions and group case study work. - Exposure to leading industry experts
Hear from over 30 guest speakers who are leaders in their field including the Governor, political, industry and community leaders and entrepreneurs. - Immersive experiences
Visits to Government House, regional areas, Aboriginal communities, leading industries and social service providers. - Reflection and integration
Undergo a 360-degree Leadership Circle and receive individual coaching. Grow via others’ experiences and reflecting on personal learnings.
2026 GLF Scheduled Dates
The Governors Leadership Foundation (GLF) is an exclusive ten-month leadership experience running from February to November 2026.
Valued at $14,900 + GST, this program represents a significant investment in your leadership journey.
Thanks to the Office of the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment, two outstanding applicants will receive full scholarships—covering the entire program cost. This is a unique opportunity to accelerate your growth and make a lasting impact.
Scholarships are available to South Australian government employees who are ASO6 (or equivalent) and above, and identify as being one or more of the following:
- Autistic
- Neurodivergent (other than Autistic)
- LGBTIQA+
- Women
- With disability
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- From a culturally and linguistically diverse background
- Youth (under 25 years of age) or mature aged workers (over 60 years of age)
The Leaders Institute of South Australia manages both the scholarship application process and program delivery for the Governor’s Leadership Foundation (GLF).
