The Direction of the Premier of South Australia – Standard Duration of Executive Level Employment is issued pursuant to section 10 of the Public Sector Act 2009.  It requires agencies to restrict the term of new contracts for executive level employees to a maximum of three (3) years, except for in exceptional circumstances.
