The Executive Induction program provides newly appointed SA public sector executives with the essential knowledge and networks required to foster these attributes, while delivering on the government’s economic and strategic priorities.
The program offers high-impact sessions, delivered by ministers, chief executives, and other highly regarded experts, designed to equip new executives with key frameworks and concepts to optimise the workforce performance and potential.
The program is mandatory for all new and existing executives and is comprised of a combination of face-to-face workshops and virtual sessions (where required) typically delivered over two-to-three days across several weeks.

Keynote presentations
Industry experts present issues and challenges currently facing the South Australian public sector. These specialised workshops will help orient your leadership style and shed light on key competencies required to progress the future of the South Australian workforce.
Interactive workshops
These dynamic sessions (held face-to-face and virtual when required) deliver contemporary leadership approaches, concepts and frameworks specific to strategic priorities of the South Australian public sector.
Leader connect
Delve into the leadership journey of SA public sector chief executives. Learn how they manage conflicting opinions and multiple stakeholders while staying true to organisational values.
Networking
Build your executive network with collaborative learning experiences with other new executives and higher-level leaders within the public sector.
It is mandatory that all new South Australian public sector SAES executives to undertake the program in their first year.
In accordance with the Direction of the Premier – Induction (external site) all new South Australian Executive Service (SAES) executives must participate in a SAES Induction Program within the first 12 months of their SAES contract.
Non-SAES executives are also welcome to participate in the program.
Note: This program is available to South Australian Public Sector employees only.
The program is currently run over two days in person.
