As an extension of OCPSE, the South Australian Leadership Academy (SALA) is committed to developing leaders across all levels of the public sector to promote a resilient and future focused workforce.
SALA aims to:
- Provide ongoing learning experiences for aspiring managers to experienced executives
- Deliver thoughtful and analytical development programs promoting continuous learning
- Develop leaders who lead with integrity and create safe, inclusive work cultures
- Strengthen collaboration across departments, community and private sector organisations
- Enhance workforce performance and potentials
Leadership Excellence Framework
Our aim to shape a world class workforce is supported by our Leadership Excellence Framework, which provides guidance on the three core functions of governance, leadership and management.

Manager Essentials Program
Designed for frontline managers across the South Australian Public Sector.
Aboriginal Frontline Leadership Program
For Aboriginal employees aspiring to transition (or recently transitioned) from team member to team leader.
The Next Exec Program
Aimed at managers identified as ready and capable to broaden their leadership impact and strategic influence across the system.
Short courses and workshops
